Enger Jemil Kevranian, decorated with the French Légion d’honneur
The Tekeyan Armenian Cultural Association of Vancouver owes a profound debt of gratitude to Enger Jemil Kevranian — a Vancouver Pioneer since 1980 and an honourable member for over 70 years.
His visionary leadership and personal financial commitment were instrumental in establishing the Vancouver chapter as a registered non-profit organization, ensuring it could serve British Columbia’s Armenian community for generations to come. Through decades of unwavering dedication, he has kept our cultural programs, events, and community alive.
The Vancouver chapter stands as a testament to his extraordinary service and generosity of spirit.
Named after Vahan Tekeyan — the “Prince of Armenian Poets” — our association was founded on the belief that culture is the strongest bond connecting the diaspora to its ancestral roots.
The Vancouver chapter has served British Columbia’s Armenian community since 1980, offering programs, events, and a space where Armenian identity is honoured and celebrated.
